What is a LTACH?
LTACH stands for “long-term acute care hospital.” LTACHs provide specialized care services for patients requiring extended medical care and rehabilitation. Those with catastrophic or acute illnesses and injuries can work toward recovery. These patients require a longer hospitalization—the average length of stay at the St. Francis LTACH is approximately 25 days. We provide: ¨ Clinical Onsite Patient Assessments prior to LTACH admission ¨ Wound Care Management Program ¨ Ventilator Weaning Program ¨ 24 Hour Respiratory Therapy On-site ¨ Tracheostomy Decannulation ¨ IV / TPN ¨ Insulin Drip ¨ Lasix Drip ¨ Blood Transfusions ¨ Telemetry/Cardiac Drips ¨ PICC Line Placements ¨ Isolation Rooms ¨ Multi-Specialty Physicians ¨ Hospital Services ¨ Therapies 6 days/week ¨ Weekly Multidisciplinary Rounds ¨ Case Management / Social Work & Discharge Planning Types of patients we service: ¨ Complex Medical Conditions ¨ Pulmonary Disease ¨ Neurological Disorders; Stroke, Encephalopathy, and Parkinson's Disease ¨ Cardiac Disease ¨ Severe Wounds / Skin Ulcers ¨ Neuromuscular Diseases ¨ Gastrointestinal Diseases ¨ Multi-system Failure ¨ Infectious Diseases ¨ Post Operative Complications ¨ Spinal Cord Injuries ¨ Traumatic Brain Injury
